Two fighter jets have collided in mid-air and crashed into a hillside in Italy, starting a number of forest fires.
The planes - two Italian Air Force Tornado jets - had been on a training mission when they crashed near the town of Mozzano.
Four pilots managed to eject before the planes came down but are still missing, Sky TG24 reported.
A witness told the TV station he saw "an enormous ball of fire that lasted about five seconds" before the planes crashed into the hillside.
Local mayor Guido Castelli added no civilians had been injured.
A spokesman for the Italian Air Force said rescue helicopters and other aircraft were searching for the missing crew members.
A team of experts had been sent to the crash site to investigate what happened, he added.
The Tornado jet has a top speed of more than 1,600mph and can fly up to 2,420 miles without refueling.
They are used by a number of air forces around the world, including Italy, Britain and Germany.
